Because Polyethylene is very waxy, it is almost impossible to get quality repairs using adhesives. Welding is the best repair method for polyethylene. Polyethylene is naturally a translucent white color. Tan pigment has been added to make less visible repairs when welding tan polyethylene parts. This package contains 5 ft. (1.5 m) of tan low-density polyethylene (LDPE) strips. Each rod is 1 ft. (30 cm) long and 3/8th inch (9.5 mm) wide by 1/16th inch (1.6 mm) thick."
