This hardy, rounded and wide spreading deciduous to evergreen Oak is well adapted to the hot temperatures and dryness of the south. Suitable to a wide range of soils, this tree will grow in very dry to occasionally wet soil. Very easy to grow, but can be susceptible to freeze damage in climates under 0?F. Mature specimens have dense broad crowns that reach heights of 60 ft. and spreads of up to 80 ft.
