Single card encoder modulator system for digital satellite news gathering or DVB-S2 satellite transport. Designed for use in DSNG trucks or installed in satellite broadcast fly pack enclosures. Provides full HD encoding of 1 channel of live video from any HD-SDI signal source. The chassis also provides an ASI input to multiplex externally encoded programs into the DVB-S2 RF carrier output for added flexibility. For backwards compatibility, both DVB-S2 and DVB-S modulation protocols are supported on the RF output. The BISS satellite encryption standard allows secure transmission of live video by making the feed impossible to decode without a pre shared key. The chassis supports most Thor Broadcast single depth encoder cards, with support for every major video signal format. All settings and configuration options are available via the front panel keyboard and LCD, as well as through a standard web server based network management system. For powering the uplink antenna the unit has the option of providing 24VDC over the coax output, this feature can be enabled or disabled through either management interface. This system will accept programming via ASI and encode 1 channel of full HD video at 1080p60 from any HD-SDI source.
